The ABOW Team’s Favorite Things to Do in the Presidio part 1
Easily one of the best parts of A Body of Work is our prime location in San Francisco’s beautiful Presidio. Our team has been lucky enough to spend extensive time enjoying all that the park has to offer. From top-notch dining to breathtaking hikes, we’ve compiled a list of the ABOW Team’s top things to do in the Presidio.
Dining at the Presidio Social Club Exchange: You’ve most likely seen us share some of the delicious dishes and recipes that come out of the PSCX. With a locally sourced, seasonal menu, you are eating freshly made dishes curated by Chef Ray Tang.
Biking in the park: Biking around the Presidio is a great way to get some exercise while taking in the natural beauty of the park. “I love riding my bike through the Presidio!” says ABOW Owner Jean Sullivan, “I have a couple of favorite loops I like to do that include 3 hill climbs, gorgeous bay views, eucalyptus trees, and passing through the golf course.”
Coffee break at the Warming Hut: The warming hut features delicious coffee and tea, as well as some of the most beautiful views in the park. “On a cold day I like going to the Warming Hut, grabbing a latte, and walking down Crissy Field,” says Roxie Trissel, ITT Pilates social media coordinator.
Lovers’ Lane: The oldest footpath through the Presidio, Lovers’ Lane was established as a shortcut in the 18th century for Spanish soldiers to get from the Main Post to Mission Dolores. At 0.6 miles with a challenge level of “easy to moderate,” this is the perfect trail for an easy and relaxing hike.
Fort Point: With one of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Fort Point once defended the San Francisco Bay following the Gold Rush through World War II. “I love walking out to Fort Point and watching the waves crash on the rocks,” says ABOW Trainer Annalisa Chasan.
