Magic Circle Exercises with Hilary Power Steinberg
A Body of Work trainer Hilary Power Steinberg is a graduate of our ITT Pilates Comprehensive Instructor Training Program and is passionate about sharing her love of Pilates with her clients. Hilary has taught a variety of classes throughout her time at ABOW, including Pilates mat, an outdoor walking class, and classes incorporating equipment like the Magic Circle.
Hilary started doing Pilates twice a week in 1998 after her second child was born and has been doing it ever since. She began her teaching certification with ITT Pilates after 15 years of practice and since then looks for any opportunity to learn more and continue perfecting her craft. Hilary particularly enjoys the in-services, workshops, and labs offered to ABOW trainers that allow her to “delve more deeply into anatomy and strategies for working with all kinds of physical issues.”

I also love the expansive education that goes on in the studio - each trainer at ABOW has something different to offer their clients and we all learn from each other and support each other to continue learning and expanding our abilities as trainers.”
Hilary has been with the studio throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and participated in the learning curve that was virtual teaching. As a result, she has provided us with exercise videos for upper and lower body workouts that you can do in your own home, on your own time. These exercises incorporate the Magic Circle, a piece of equipment Hilary has regularly used in her classes, both in-person and virtually. The Magic Circle allows clients to improve body awareness, increase resistance, and add a layer of complexity and challenge to your typical Pilates workout.
